This month, we’re celebrating a major milestone, 10 years of Urban Foodservice. What started as a single depot in 2016 has grown into a nationwide business supporting kitchens across the UK.
Over the past decade, we’ve expanded into major cities including London, Brighton, Manchester, Liverpool, Glasgow and Edinburgh, with even more locations planned for the year ahead. In the last 12 months alone, our buying customer base has grown by 20%, reflecting the trust chefs place in our ingredients, service and support.
To mark the milestone, we’re hosting a series of birthday celebrations, including a customer raffle via our online shop, MyUrban, giving 10 customers the chance to win £100; and a birthday party for loyal customers at Miradora Rooftop Restaurant & Bar in London’s Leicester Square on 24th March 2026. And because no birthday is complete without a few treats, we’re offering price reductions across more than 100 of our bestselling products.
We’re also continuing to support The Burnt Chef Project, which works to break down the stigma surrounding mental health in the hospitality industry. Recent fundraising efforts include a climb up Snowdon, which raised £10,571, and a raffle at the Urban Foodservice 10th birthday party, which generated over £800 for the charity.

Our team has grown alongside the business. In 2023 our sales team consisted of just seven people, today that number has grown to 20 dedicated team members, allowing us to offer even more personalised support, tailored product ranges and menu insight for our customers. From busy city centre chain’s to a food truck at a summer festival, the team delivers bespoke product ranges directly to our customer sites, helping them stay stocked, competitive and focused on their service offering.
Customers can order 24/7 through MyUrban, our online shop and app, which provides live pricing, stock availability, allergen information and a free recipe management tool to help businesses cost dishes, manage margins and build profitable menus.
Reaching 10 years is an incredible achievement for our team and customers alike. We’ve grown with the industry over the past decade, but we’ve always stayed true to our roots,supporting independent food businesses and helping them create standout menus.
And this is just the beginning. We’re excited to see what the next decade brings.
